The University Extension Process Quality in Las Tunas province University

Abstract
The objective of this work is to carry out a diagnosis of the Quality Management System of the university extension process that allows identifying the current situation of the process for its continuous improvement. For the study, methods of the theoretical, empirical, mathematical-statistical level and techniques for obtaining information were used. Through the diagnosis carried out, it was detected as main weaknesses, the non-determination of the inputs and outputs of the process, nor the sequence and interaction of the same; difficulties in the assignment of responsibilities and authorities for the proper functioning of the process at the faculty level, the risks and opportunities of the process are not addressed, nor is the process and its sub-processes documented. On the other hand, the identified strengths were: it has a procedures manual for management, as well as postgraduate courses and diplomas are designed to train teachers to conduct the extension process. Also, the impact tasks are checked based on the needs issued by agencies and government. The application of the tools used made it possible to determine the main shortcomings related to the NC ISO 9001:2015 and to obtain a first approximation to the general strategic solution of the process.
