Decision-making through computer systems at the Villa Clara Cultural Heritage Fund
Main Article Content
Abstract
Decision-making within the Cuban Fund for Cultural Assets in Villa Clara province, as part of the
cultural industry, is vital for the effective performance of its managers at various levels of the
organizational structure. Information systems play a significant role as an element of the regulatory or command function. The study conducted at this institution, which belongs to the Ministry of Culture,
revealed the absence of a general procedure for decision-making using information systems as a tool
for planning, organization, leadership, and control. The objective of this work is to study and
implement information systems as a management tool for improved efficiency, effectiveness, and
economy. The main methods and techniques used are: historical-logical, analytical-synthetic,
inductive-deductive, modeling, interviews and surveys, document analysis, descriptive and inferential
statistical methods, checklists and guides, and the use of the SPSS statistical software package
version 16.0 and the NetDraw and Ucinet software.
