THE INFLUENCE OF MUSIC TEACHING ON ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION IN CHILDREN
Main Article Content
Abstract
Children from the first years of life receive impressions and sensations that they constantly develop, in this sense we worked from the musical teaching and the possibilities that it offers for the care of the environment. The present work, used the content of the musical work of the romantic composer Serguey Prokofiev called "Peter and the wolf" which takes place in the forest and its characters are animals that are associated with a musical instrument. In this story, the sounds of the different families of instruments are related to sounds and animals in nature, this allowed the children to compare what was known with new elements that they had to learn. The analysis of each character aroused the interest of each child towards nature and the environment that surrounds them, which enhanced creativity, experimentation and interest, as well as the assimilation of essential content and the acquisition of correct skills and habits. In this way the children developed successfully in this first stage of musical initiation. The experience developed with second grade children showed that this way of directing the educational process made it easier for the children to reach the new knowledge in a constructive, dynamic and happy way, respecting the different maturational rhythms and attending to diversity.
