Abstract

The work shows a population study in San Juan de los Remedios municipality in Villa Clara, Cuba. A National Monument city, with the aim of putting into practice a set of actions that links the Government, State  companies,  other  entities  and  the  "Marta  Abreu"  University of  Las  Villas represented by the Municipal University Center as agent promoter of the study, to carry it out, a group of investigative methods was applied, including the mathematical method and / or statistical processing, observation, interview and survey, the information provided by the municipal statistics department was taken into account. During the implementation process, conferences, workshops and seminars were given to the personnel involved and the population. The work reveals results in terms of raising the level of knowledge on the part of the population about the implication that contracting infected with the virus has for life, its preventive measures, the actions applied gave the possibility of providing better care to vulnerable population, comply with the protocols established for health and a better quality of life for the inhabitants in times of pandemic with the care provided by entities, companies and the territory government, contributed to reduce the rate of contamination by the virus in the municipality.
