Section Policies

SCIENTIFIC ARTICLES

Includes original works of research, development and application results. All publication proposals must include title, abstract and keywords in Spanish and English. Also includes a list of authors, introduction, materials and methods, results and discussion, conclusions, and bibliographical references. Recommendations are optional.

  1. Title: Concise and informative, avoid using more than 15 words.
  2. Authors: Enter the full name of each one of the authors. For each work, up to three authors will be accepted. Mark the author for correspondence with an asterisk (*).
  3. Affiliation: Enter the list of institutional affiliations in a separate paragraph below the list of authors, specifying the scientific degree, academic titles, and scientific and teaching categories. Indicate the orcid of each author. Indicate the full name of the institution, postal address including telephone and email. Use numeric super indices at the end of full names to distinguish authors with different institutional affiliations.
  4. Abstract: Written in the third person, in Spanish and English, it must include the objective of the investigation, mention the methods used, main results and conclusions, it will never exceed 250 words.
  5. Keywords: At least 5 and no more than 10, in Spanish and English, organized thematically from general to particular. Review Directory for keywords: http://thes.cindoc.CSIC.es/indexSPINesp.php
  6. Tables and figures: They must not exceed three, be inserted in the body of the text and optimized for viewing, preferably in gif and jpg formats. The title of the tables will appear at the top, with sequential numbering according to the order in which they appear in the text and in Arial font, at 10 points. If you use explanatory notes at the bottom of the table, use Arial at 10 points. The title of the figures and tables will be placed at the top using Arial at 10 points, with sequential numbering according to the order in which they appear in the work.
  7. Bibliographic references: They will appear at the end of the text in alphabetical order, also following the indications of the Bibliographic Style Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA), in its version 7.

SHORT COMMUNICATIONS

Brief papers on the results of ongoing research or other contributions that deserve rapid dissemination. All short communication proposals must include the title, abstract and keywords in Spanish and English. Also includes a list of authors, introduction, materials and methods, results and discussion, conclusions, and bibliographical references. Recommendations are optional.

REVIEWS

Synthesis and discussion of the most current scientific information regarding a relevant topic in the scope of the journal. The maximum extension of the manuscripts will be 20 pages, considering all its content.

For this modality it is not required to follow the structure indicated above. In any case, it must contain the sections title, authors, abstract, keywords, introduction, the development of the work properly divided into chapters, acknowledgments and references.
