Instructions for authors: form and preparation of manuscripts

The editorial board of the digital magazine: Directivo al Día accepts original and unpublished contributions, both national and foreign, in Spanish and English.

Scientific Articles: includes works with original results of development, research and application. With a maximum length of 15 pages.

Reviews: synthesis and discussion of the most current scientific information regarding a relevant topic in the scope of the journal. Maximum length of 20 pages.

Short Communications: short works on results of ongoing research or other contributions that deserve rapid dissemination, up to 10 pages in length.

Letters to the Editor: brief communication of opinions about research, study results or some aspects of the journal's editorial policy. Maximum length of 10 pages.

Authors must meet the following requirements to submit their work:

The structure of the articles must meet the following requirements

All publication proposals must include title, abstract and keywords in Spanish and English, and also include a list of authors, introduction, materials and methods, results and discussion, conclusions, and bibliographic references. Recommendations are optional.

For the review modality, it is not required to follow the structure indicated above. In any case, it must contain the sections of title, authors, summary, keywords, introduction, the development of the work properly divided into chapters, acknowledgments and references.

Title: in Spanish and English where it clearly and accurately states what the work is about in no more than 15 words.

Author information: Indicate the first and last name of all authors in bold. Sort the data of each author by mentioning academic titles, scientific and teaching categories; parent institution (e.g. university); ORCID (if not included, your article will be rejected), registering if necessary on the site; Then indicate the city and country of residence of the author. The order of appearance of each author must be consistent with the degree of contribution they have made to the research.

Summary/Abstract: It must contain the statement of the problem, the objective, methodological foundations, results and most relevant conclusions. In Spanish and English, 200 to 250 words. State the essential content of the publication. Written in a single paragraph, in the third person, no acronyms, abbreviations, tables, references or citations are included.

Keywords: between 5 and 10 words (may include one or two short phrases of a maximum of three words), separated by commas, in Spanish and English, all in lower case.

Introduction: Includes statement of the problem, importance of the topic, hypotheses if applicable, objectives, scope of the work and limitations for its development, if any. In this section, a synthesis and interpretation of the literature directly related to the title and objectives of the work will be carried out as a basis for the topic, citing the authors.

Materials and Methods: It will provide sufficient and concise information so that the problem or experiment can be reproduced or easily understood by specialists in the field. The technical specifications and origin of the materials used must be clearly indicated, without describing trivial materials. It must clearly indicate the experimental or data collection procedure and the statistical methods, as well as the computer programs. If the method is not original, it will be indicated bibliographically; If it is original or modified, it will be conveniently described. In any case, the presentation of various methods will be chronological.

Results and Discussion: Includes the synthetic, organized and elaborate presentation of the information obtained. Provides results in the form of written text supported by tables and figures, together with analysis and interpretation of the data. Both the repetition of details given in other sections and the description of what is evident when examining the tables or figures presented should be avoided. It includes the integrated interpretation of the results and, where appropriate, their comparison with those of previous publications. It is a critical analysis of the results in accordance with the objectives and hypothesis, if applicable. The meaning and validity of the results must be commented on, in accordance with the scope defined for the work and the methods applied. In this section the results obtained should not be repeated.

Conclusions: They may be included in a single conclusions section or integrated into the results and discussion. If they are presented as a section, the most relevant ideas that derive directly from what the work provides will be included in a precise and concise manner. They must respond to the hypotheses or objectives set out in the introduction. They must be written clearly and objectively without including bibliographic citations. They may include recommendations for future work.

Bibliographic References: The references of all bibliographic citations indicated in the text will be indicated, arranged alphabetically. The precision and veracity of the data provided in the bibliographic references are the responsibility of the author(s) of the contributions and must correspond to original publications. The maximum number of references will be 15. Use up-to-date literature (no more than 5 years old), relevant and directly related to your work. Follow the instructions of the American Psychological Association (APA) Manual of Bibliographic Style, version 7.

Style and format

The works must be written with clear, precise language and in the third person singular. Abuse of technicalities and words from other languages ​​will be avoided as long as synonyms exist in Spanish. When you include rare words, the meaning must be explained. The indiscriminate use of acronyms is not permitted. Explain the meaning of each one, the first time they are used at work.

The work must be written on letter-size sheets (21.59 x 27.94 cm); with margins of 2.54 cm to the top, bottom, right and left; line spacing at 1.5; Arial font, size 10 points; without page numbering since the magazine's editorial committee takes care of this. The first line of each paragraph of text must be indented 1.27 cm from the left margin. It must be submitted in electronic files with a Word word processor.

Note

- The magazine is published quarterly. It is published in the months: March, June, September and December.

- Papers that meet the requirements demanded by the magazine are accepted.

- The Editorial Board reserves the right to accept or reject the works, and adapt them to the style of the magazine, as well as decide formal aspects for its publication, as long as these do not affect the content.

- The authors of the accepted works must transfer the rights of their works to the magazine Directivo al Día for their communication, distribution and reproduction. Likewise, the authors must accept that the journal assumes the principles of open access as its own, which is why it is published without profit, with the sole objective of contributing to scientific development.

- The articles will be subjected to an editorial review process to define whether they will go to the peer evaluation process, double-blind modality, to guarantee the impartiality of the process. The authors have a maximum period of one month to correct the evaluators' comments and must not simultaneously submit the article to another journal.

- The authors will be notified of the acceptance of the originals through a Letter of Approval.
