Control of the cane level on the lifting belt in “Ciro Redondo” center
Main Article Content
Abstract
Ciro Redondo sugar mill in Ciego de Ávila is immersed in a process of incorporating new technologies into sugar production. This mill is the first to be associated with a bioelectric plant in Cuba. The bagasse necessary for its operation will be delivered by the plant's tandem, which must be designed and controlled to meet these requirements. This paper proposes closed-loop control strategies based on a mathematical model for sugarcane level control on the tandem elevator mat at the Ciro Redondo power plant and its application on the EROS SCADA system. As results derived from the present investigation, it is possible to promote the bases for the execution of several future projects by the Industrial Technical Services Company (ZETI) such as: the automation of the tandem of the Héctor Rodríguez and Quintín Banderas power plants; all of them associated with a bioelectric, which represents a methodological and practical contribution.
