Current state of control execution in Villa Clara Provincial Dairy Products Company

Abstract

Control is one of the main administrative functions, along with planning, organization and management. Its purpose is to ensure that the actions of companies and institutions are carried out as planned and/or to evaluate the effectiveness of the results obtained. The problem consists in the existence of a contradiction between what the theory indicates about the control function and its application and the results in the company under study. The work aims to diagnose the current situation of the control function in the Dairy Products Enterprise of Villa Clara. The following methods and techniques were used: document analysis, observation, survey, in-depth interview, SWOT matrix and triangulation of sources. Among the positive aspects detected are: in the Villa Clara dairy enterprise, steps are taken, in the organizational, normative and training order, to execute the control. These steps project innovative solutions for subsequent stages. Existence of strengths and opportunities that can be strengthened. Negative aspects are identified in the absence of a strategic approach. This affects the exercise of control, which is not exercised as a system. These are elements of resolution 60/2011 treated superficially or not systematically. There are weaknesses, shortcomings and threats that may endanger the survival of the entity and the actions taken are of the ex-post control type.
