Proposal of control instruments for the cemetery archives of Villa Clara province

Abstract

The present investigation is a proposal of control instruments for the Cemetery Archives of the Province
of Villa Clara, given their functions as centers dedicated to the documentation keeping generated by the cemeteries of the province, the Attention to the Population and the services they can offer. For the
conformation of the control instruments, other processes were taken into account, such as identification,
classification, evaluation, organization and dissemination. The conceptual theoretical aspects related to
the documentary control that allow the foundation of the investigation are specified and the pertinent
control instruments are described in detail, to achieve an adequate organization of the documentary
collection in the Archives of the Province. This research is mixed, with a predominantly quantitative
approach where theoretical and empirical level methods were used to structure the research. Methods
and techniques are used to guide the development of the proposal for documentary control instruments.
A descriptive research with a non-experimental transactional or cross-sectional design is presented. As a
result of the investigation, the proposal of documentary control instruments is presented to be
implemented in the Cemetery Archives of Villa Clara Province.
